Tap the + button on the dashboard. Choose your vehicle type, enter a nickname, and optionally add year/make/model. You can also scan your VIN to auto-fill vehicle details.
Wrench Wise supports cars, trucks, SUVs (gas, diesel, electric, hybrid, plug-in hybrid), RVs (motorhomes, travel trailers, fifth wheels, pop-up campers), motorcycles, powerboats, PWC, sailboats, tractors, ATVs, snowmobiles, trailers, and generators. Complex vehicles like RVs and boats can track sub-components (chassis, coach, engines, generators, implements) with separate maintenance schedules.
No. Free users can start tracking maintenance immediately without creating an account. All data is stored locally on your device. Create an account only when you want cloud sync, multi-device access, or premium features.
Free users get up to 2 simple vehicles (cars, trucks, motorcycles, etc.) with full maintenance tracking, service history with photos, maintenance schedules, step-by-step guides, seasonal checklists, and tire tracking. Prefer a complex vehicle? Use your 2 free slots for 1 vehicle with sub-components — like an RV with a generator, a boat with engines, or a truck with a trailer. All data stays on your device — no account required.
Pro unlocks unlimited vehicles and sub-assets, NHTSA recall alerts, AI-powered PDF manual import, OEM factory schedule import by VIN, planning sessions with parts lists and shopping lists, a personal parts catalog, reports and data export, and cloud sync across phone, tablet, and web.
Subscribe from within the app — you'll see upgrade prompts when accessing Pro features. To cancel, manage your subscription through your device's app store settings (Apple: Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions; Android: Play Store > Payments & subscriptions).
Free users: all data is stored locally on your device and never sent to our servers. Pro users: data is stored on your device and synced to our secure cloud servers for multi-device access. Data syncs automatically and works offline.
Pro subscribers can export maintenance reports and vehicle history from within the app. Go to a vehicle's detail page and use the export/report options.
Free users can uninstall the app or clear app data from device settings — no server data exists. For account holders, visit our account deletion page or use Settings > Danger Zone > Delete My Account inside the app.
Check that you have an active internet connection and an active Pro subscription. Try pulling down to refresh on the dashboard. If the issue persists, close and reopen the app. Sync runs automatically when connectivity is restored.
Make sure the app has camera permission enabled. Position the barcode in good lighting and hold steady. If scanning fails, you can always enter the VIN manually — the app will decode it the same way.
Verify the app has camera and photo library permissions in your device settings. Photos are saved locally first and synced when connected. If you're on a free plan, photos are stored on-device only.
